There are three new skins available at the main store right now. I have made Niska in a new tone called Wicked, especially for Halloween. These skins are full skins and come with all head and body appliers I currently make including Genesis Lab appliers that should work with the heads released since Marie.

There are two new Group Gifts at the main store right now. One for the Lumae group and another for the SL Free & Offers group!

The Lumae gift is a remake of Lady Death. This time on the Niska Varda skin. The SLF&O gift is a new skin called Death Becomes Her. Both skins come with head appliers and body appliers.

It has taken me a long time to write this.. this year has been a difficult year for me and after much thought, much debate with my self, much soul searching and agonising and talks with different people who know me, my mental and physical state and my temperament, I am finally going to make some decisions. I've never been good at doing that but the way things are right now, I have to do this. There are basically two paths open to me.


1. Close the store and don't look back.

2. Draw a line.. make new limits and do what it takes to find my way back to loving my craft.


I don't particularly want to close the store. I always loved making skins, it always has been therapeutic and allowed me to make use of my skills and hone them as an artist, in a much different and interesting way to RL. Of course it is amazing that it eventually become a viable business and source of income for me.

Changes are never easy.. and a lot of people usually pout and stomp feet or get scared that they won't benefit from anything, that things will be taken away from them. I have spent a lot of my time trying every thing I can to make my skins accessible for as many people and as many mesh products as possible.. I can understand the disappointment people feel when things change and I hate disappointing people. I know some of people will not like the changes being made and will possibly even stop buying my skins.. but I have to be clear and I have to be firm.. these changes are non-negotiable if I am to keep making skins.

But I have to try to do something to make this enjoyable for me again.. and through doing that I will be able to offer you improved skins, better quality, more releases.. which I hope will make up for any losses. I know I will never be able to please everyone or make everyone happy and I have always tried to do this, much to my own detriment.. but now its time I take control.

The changes coming are the following :

* Within the next 1 - 2 weeks *
ALL skins in the store will be put on 50% sale. You will need the group tag to get the discount as it will work through Caspervend. This sale will most likely last until Christmas and New Year.

THERE WILL BE A NOTICE SENT OUT WHEN THE SALE STARTS

* Once the sale ends *
- ALL skins in the store will be discontinued. They will not be put out for cheap at future dates, they will not be added to Marketplace. I will not be selling them privately. These skins will effectively be dead, though re-deliveries will still be available through Caspervend should products vanish or SL gets hungry.
- There will be customer service in so far as help for faulty appliers / textures
- There will be NO further updates for any appliers for these skins

In the meantime I will continue with my obligations to events so I can keep offering new things through this process.


So what happens next?
I was intending to update the skins with new details at the beginning of the month. A lot of factors stopped this from happening for which I am sorry for.

I will be spending the coming months redesigning the skins with some of the following changes (not limited to) :

- Some body redesign and lessening the need for a V2 upper
- Less skin tones in the main skin releases. There will now be 5 instead of 8.
- The possibility of each face's make up coming with themed make up appliers to mix and match
- Overhaul of freckles to make them hopefully better
- Faces tailored to fit mesh heads better.. possibly separately sold add on appliers in unique faces, I haven't figured this out yet
- Applier HUD changes
- Better Fantasy Skin support
- Male skins making a return

There are other things I am sure I am forgetting but this is a glimpse of things to come.

My hope is that I will be able to eventually offer you my best artwork and more of it.. and in turn there will be less confusion about what I make, what I offer and less disappointment when things don't fit the mesh properly. I want to give you the best I can but also I want to be fit and healthy enough to do this and most importantly, enjoy doing it so I can keep creating for years to come.

I decided to make some more Varda skins with some interesting make up options after the Adore ones for Genre a few months ago seemed to make people quite happy.

This time I chose to make them using the Niska face instead of Adore, though as the skin is quite pale the difference is slight though it is subtle and noticable more on the system head rather than Mesh heads.

The Skins are on the left side, at the back of the main store and will be priced at 100L per skin until after Halloween so you have all month to get them.

A new skin has been released at the Lumae main store for this round of Lazy Sunday! Do to popular demand of the Petals make up, I decided to put the make up on an equally favourite face .. Adore!

You can find it in all 8 tones for 75L per tone!

There is one slight change to the package contents.. from this point on, there will be limited support for Genesis Lab heads and so this skin does not come with any Genesis Lab head appliers. I am very sorry for any disappointment this might cause, but due to recent script changes implemented by GL, I do not have the time or the physical capability to update hundreds of appliers to reflect this change. So as a compromise, the only skins that will now come with Genesis Lab appliers will be the BARE SKINS. There will be an update shortly to the bare skins to reflect the script change. This will mean they will now work with the newer heads as they do not at the moment.

With that being said... I do hope you will love the Adore skin with the Petals make up!

Enchantment SL is finally open! This edition is filled with Mermaid goodness as the designers bring you items inspired by The Little Mermaid! The shopping area opens at 5pm SLT, 14th August and is open until September 5th!

Lumae are taking part with a mermaid themed skin called Ianthe. The base face for the skin is Adore and is covered in pearlescent scales. It is available in 5 different make up's and with the option to wear the face with or without scales, though the scales on the body will remain regardless. All usual system skin options are included as well as all the head, mouth and body appliers that I currently make!

The skins are 100L per make up!



Also running at the same time as the Enchanted shopping event on the Nymphai sim, is the Enchanted Hunt which invites you to teleport to the stores of the designers involved in the Hunt to find a special prize for you to enjoy! There are 23 stores to visit and you are looking for a purple seashell. Click the Shell to recieve the prize, plus a notecard with the landmark and a hint to the next prize! The first seashell can be found in the hunt information poster at the top of the steps where you land at the Enchantment shopping area!

For Lumae's contribution, there is a special edition Mermaid skin called Eione. The base face for the skin is Niska and shares the same pearlescent scales as her mermaid sister. This skin comes in Mid Cleavage only and includes mini HUD's for all the body appliers I currently make as well as head and mouth appliers.

Starting @ Midnight SLT on 26th July and running through until 9th August is a fundraiser called The Lexi Project. The event is to benefit Lexi Zelin, who is the owner of AngelRed Couture and who, at the age of 28, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The funds raised will help to pay her medical bills and expenses as she is currently unable to work.

Lexi has played a very important role in Second Life community over the years as the creator of high quality full permission system templates and mesh templates that has enabled others to open their own Second Life stores. The event has grown to around 350 sellers all coming together to offer donation items to help raise the funds Lexi so desperately needs. All vendors are donating 100% of their proceeds to her.

For my contribution, I have created a brand new make up on a brand new face called Fae. The skin will come in all 8 tones with all system skin options that are usually included as well as all head, mouth and body appliers that I currently make.

The skin will be priced at 50% discount for the duration of the event with 100% of the proceeds raised going directly to Lexi through a profit sharing vendor. You can find Lumae in Section 4 of the event!

Belleza have just released an update for their Venus Mesh body and this time it includes three body types! Venus, Freya and Isis are all waiting for you at the Belleza store!

There has been some amazing new changes to the body also! As you will probably remember that I couldn't make dedicated appliers for the Belleza Body due to the hands and feet not using SLUV to skin them.. this has now changed! I am thrilled to say that all Jewel and Adore natural tones have now been updated with a dedicated Belleza Body Applier!

This is the first of many more updates to come.. next the fantasy tone Jewel and Adore skins will be updated and then I will work on the older skins at the store.

To claim your updated Jewel and Adore natural tone skins that include the new update, simply go to the Lumae mainstore and click the white redelivery computer terminal on the front desk. Click on the link that it gives you which will take you to your Caspervend redelivery page and simply choose which skins you would like to be redelivered! You will find the new appliers boxed up in the All Body Appliers box that you will need to rez.

All natural skin tone Jewel and Adore skins have now been updated to include the Genesis Lab Head Appliers. If you previously purchased these skins, you can get a redelivery at the computer terminal at the front of the store.

These skins work best on the Chloe Mesh head that you can find at the current round of the Fantasy Collective. They were only tested on this head. I cannot guarantee how the appliers will work or how the skins will look on older Genesis Lab heads.
